I have had nothing but PROBLEMS! This is the worst loop around experience ever! My a/c needed replaced being in Arizona it needs to be done quickly. It has been 2 weeks and we are still waiting on Warranty direct to send the compressor to the auto repair company. The auto repair company quoted $120 over what Warranty Direct was will to pay so they decided they would ship the compressor. I got a rental car after arguing for 2 hours. I have to argue everyday for an extension for rental car. They “forgot” to order the part and my car is still not done.

I purchased an extended warranty with Warranty Direct in January, 2012?. It states a person needed to wait 3 months before a claim is to be submitted”. In the beginning of April, 2012 I started hearing noises within my car and so I took my car into mechanic and he informed me it was the fan that operates the air conditioning/heating system was going bad!. So I informed him to check with my new warranty company to see if it was covered’. He called it in and he was told it was covered but they wouldn’t cover it becasue the call came in 8 days earlier than the 90 days grace period,. I was shocked due to the fact that I was counting the months and it was the third month’. I’m recentl widow and my husband usually handled anything with the cars”. I wanted to do the right thing and was trying to be very careful and knew the loud noise needed to be repaired, so I purchased the warranty for my Mercedes as well as for my Honda;. I feel with such short time period, they could waive this oversight and honor this claim

Stay away. I’m warning you that you will have only headaches and denied service claim. I typically don’t write reviews but Warranty Direct will deny your claim or at least make you pay for it. Even their road assistance service is nasty. I was driving and my F350 was leaking water, so I pulled over to a gas station and called the Warranty Direct (WD) for road assistance. They said, “We pay the first $50 for the wrecker and you pay the rest.” Well, it would be fair enough if their wrecker didn’t give an estimate for $100 to tow my truck to a mechanic shop for 1.2 miles from the gas station where my truck was. I called three local towing companies and their rates were $50, $60, and $45. I ended up with paying $45 from my pocket which was cheaper than using WD pathetic road service. Now the worse part, the mechanic found out the EGR cooler is messed up. I called the WD and they denied the claim saying the EGR cooler is not included to my policy which has EGR recirculation system listed as covered. But they said the cooler is not part of it. Really? Anyway, I paid over then $3,200 for a stack of paper they call policy that is not worth the paper they use in the toilet. I read all the other complaints about the company, but the people were not being honest or even WD competitor was writing it. But now, I paid a very high stack of money to find out how bad and worthless WD is. The main reason they are still in business is because of the people buying insurance with them and some never use it or ended paying for part of the service because the majority of the population in US doesn’t know anything about mechanics. So these poor people swallow whatever WD tells them. They will discretely say, “Shut up and pay for it because you can’t do anything against us.” If you save the money that you will pay for the insurance, and pay for all the maintenance you would have for your coverage, you will still have money at end. Be wise and keep your hard-earned money.

When it was about a small fixing, Warranty Direct gladly fixed it, because it cost them only few hundred dollars. When my car transmission broke down,They wanted all maintenance records.

Since I did not keep any record, they just refused to fix it. However they gave me a different reason in the paper, instead of saying, to provide maintenance records, they are saying “Failure to follow Ma nu factor’s maintenance schedule.” How did they come to a conclusion that I failed to follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule? They avoided this question, when asked. I spent almost $3000 and and now I have been totally cheated.

The very reason why someone buys an extended warranty so that he/she does not have to spend a lot money if the car has a major breakdown, for the very same reason, their philosophy is to make people happy when it comes to a simple fix but will ask you for everything if it comes to a major fixing. Warranty direct is really really nice until your car has a major problem. I will never buy an extended warranty and just take a chance. If my car break down, I am sure now that I will spend less money than I would waste paying Warranty Direct.

You will be extremely happy with them until your car has a major problem, then you will see how they rip you off. I wasted about $3000. I will never make this kind of mistake again. I didn’t do enough homework before buying.

I was totally relying on the BBB rating.

BBB gets huge amount of yearly subscription fee from them.Reply on others too.
